NBC Universal's SYFY Channel broadcasts science fiction, horror, and fantasy genre focused television programs. As part of the channel’s push to provide artists and animators opportunity to produce work that speaks to their own stories through genre, SYFY’s My Genre, My Story series brought “Making My Fate” to fruition through the 2022 Women’s History Month shorts collection.

I co-directed this story with junior Gasshorse artist, Dani Massey. Stylized as a modern fairytale, “Making My Fate” represents choice and having the courage to be your own hero or decisionmaker to get where you want to go in life. This story about the importance of being able to choose your own path to follow carries important messages on women’s experiences and frustrations.
